We opened 7eventy1 because we missed the food we grew up with — not the generic curry-house menu, but the real thing. Whole spices ground fresh each morning. Mustard oil. River fish done properly. Slow-cooked goat from recipes our families have kept for generations.
Appleby gave us a home, and we wanted to give something back: honest Bangladeshi cooking, served without pretence, in a market town that deserves more than the ordinary.

Our Story
Our kitchen runs on recipes that never needed a cookbook — passed down by word of mouth through kitchens in Sylhet, Dhaka, and the Chittagong hills. Each dish carries a specific place and memory.
We cook with whole spices, fresh curry leaves, and mustard oil. Nothing from a jar. Nothing reheated. Every order is made to yours.
