We take bookings over the phone — ring either number above and we will sort you out. For larger groups (8 or more), please give us at least 24 hours' notice so we can make sure everything is right.
Walk-ins are welcome any evening, though we cannot always guarantee a table on Friday and Saturday nights without a reservation.
Call ahead and your order will be ready when you arrive. Average wait is 20–30 minutes depending on how busy the kitchen is.
We are at 9 Bridge Street, in the centre of Appleby-in-Westmorland, at the foot of Boroughgate and a moment from the bridge over the River Eden. Appleby Castle and the Moot Hall are both a short stroll away.
Appleby sits just off the A66, about 14 miles — a 20-minute drive — south-east of Penrith. Leave the A66 at the Appleby turn and follow signs to the town centre; Bridge Street is by the river as you come in.
Leave the M6 at Junction 38 (Tebay) and take the B6260, which brings you straight into Appleby town centre. Kirkby Stephen is about 12 miles to the south.
Appleby station is on the scenic Settle–Carlisle line, roughly a ten-minute walk from the restaurant.
